Suhaizan Kayat stands as the Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) candidate within the Pakatan Harapan coalition, which is chaired by Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The coalition brings together PKR, DAP and Amanah in a unified slate fielded across all 56 Johor state constituencies.
As one of 56 seats up for grabs, Larkin represents another front in Pakatan Harapan's effort to win a governing majority in Johor under the leadership of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
As an Amanah candidate, Suhaizan Kayat champions Pakatan Harapan's agenda of progressive, inclusive and ethical governance rooted in the Malaysia Madani vision. Amanah is contesting 19 of the coalition's 56 Johor seats.
Suhaizan Kayat is a prominent Amanah leader who has served as Speaker of the Johor State Legislative Assembly and as the Member of Parliament for Pulai. His candidacy in Larkin brings significant institutional and parliamentary experience to the race. Pakatan Harapan's selection process for the Johor election was rigorous, with the coalition evaluating more than 1,000 potential candidates before finalising its 56 names. The slate blends established leaders, professionals and fresh faces, reflecting the coalition's bid to present a credible, governing-ready team to Johor voters.
As the July 11 polling day approaches, Suhaizan Kayat joins Pakatan Harapan's statewide push to win Johor. Early voting takes place on July 7, with nominations confirmed on June 27.
