Thailand imposes alcohol ban during Bangkok and Pattaya local elections
Thailand's Election Commission has implemented a strict alcohol ban across Bangkok and Pattaya during local elections on June 27–28, prohibiting sale, distribution and service of all alcoholic beverages with penalties of up to six months' imprisonment and 10,000 baht fines.
