Malaysia Expands Child Sexual Abuse Laws to Cover Offences Committed Overseas
Malaysia is moving to prosecute its citizens and permanent residents for child sexual abuse committed anywhere in the world, regardless of where the victim is located. The Sexual Offences against Children (Amendment) Bill 2026 extends legal jurisdiction beyond Malaysian borders.
