Meta Settles US Child Safety Case for US$18 Billion, Reshaping Social Media Protections
Meta has agreed to pay up to US$18 billion to settle a lawsuit from 29 American states over harmful effects of Facebook and Instagram on children. The company will implement daily limits and night-time blocks for teen users without admitting wrongdoing.
