Speed Testing On Public Roads Now Illegal Under New Malaysian Road Transport Law
Malaysia has passed the Road Transport (Amendment) Bill 2026, making speed testing on public roads illegal. Violators face fines of RM2,000 to RM10,000 and up to two years imprisonment. Deputy Minister Datuk Hasbi Habibollah emphasises such activities belong on racetracks only.
