Malago Takes Charge of Italian Football After Third World Cup Qualification Disaster
Giovanni Malago, 67, was elected president of the Italian Football Federation on Monday, inheriting a federation in crisis after Italy failed to qualify for a third consecutive World Cup, the worst period in Italian soccer in 40 years.
