Structural Decay and Poor Soil Conditions Led to Collapse of 90-Year-Old Angsana Tree in George Town
A 90-year-old Angsana tree on Jalan Macalister in George Town collapsed, injuring an elderly couple and grandchild when it fell on their vehicle. Root rot and cavity decay, worsened by soil compaction, caused the structural failure.
