Vietnam Opens Electronic ID System to Foreign Residents Under New Government Decree
Vietnam has issued a new government decree allowing foreign nationals lawfully residing in the country to obtain electronic identification accounts. The reform also expands document integration on the national identification app, taking effect in September 2026.
