The Royal Brunei Police Force's Gambling Suppression and Vice Prevention Unit carried out coordinated operations on Sunday, June 14, in two residential areas within Brunei-Muara District. The enforcement action resulted in the apprehension of two local women suspected of involvement in illicit immoral activities.
During the first raid in Kampong Salambigar, officers detained a 39-year-old woman from a rented accommodation on suspicion of engaging in vice-related conduct. Hours later, personnel conducted a second operation in Kampong Lumapas where they apprehended a 29-year-old woman accused of facilitating and participating in comparable activities.
Both detainees and materials retrieved during the enforcement operations were brought to the Gambling Suppression and Vice Prevention Unit headquarters for interrogation and further inquiry into the circumstances surrounding their alleged involvement.
Authorities emphasised their ongoing efforts to tackle immoral conduct and gambling-related offences, stating that such measures aim to uphold social standards and safeguard community integrity across the nation.
Members of the public who possess knowledge of illicit vice operations are encouraged to report their concerns to the RBPF via the emergency hotline 993.
