World-Record Mountaineer Nirmal Purja Dies in Broad Peak Avalanche
Nirmal Purja, the Nepalese mountaineer who famously summited all 14 mountains above 8,000 metres in just 189 days, has died in an avalanche on Broad Peak in northern Pakistan while leading a climbing expedition.
